According to the case statement, four policemen seized 522 yaba tablets while they were on duty at Gulshan-Gudaraghat area on September 11.

The policemen possessed the pills and planned to sell it instead of submitting the narcotics to their respective police stations.

Abu Zafor, sub-inspector of APBn-1, informed concerned authorities after he found Constable Prashanto along with other police officers were preparing a packet of yaba for sale.

Police arrested the duo first and later three others after receiving more information.

Abu Zafor also filed a case against the five policemen under Narcotics Control Act 2018 with the Uttara police station.
