5 killed in head-on collision between truck, battery-run autorickshaw in Bogura
Four died on the spot, and another succumbed to injuries after being taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura

Five people have been killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a battery-run autorickshaw in Dupchanchia upazila of Bogura.
The accident took place around 8:30pm last night (21 February) near the Dupchanchia Mail Bus Stand area of the Bogura-Naogaon highway.
According to police and local sources, the truck loaded with cattle was heading towards Bogura from Naogaon. As it crossed the Dupchanchia Mail Bus Stand area, it collided head-on with a battery-run autorickshaw.
Four died on the spot, and another succumbed to injuries after being taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogura.
The deceased have been identified as Md Mozahar, 60, and Md Safiqul Islam, 45 from Baniyadighi village in Dupchanchia upazila; Shahidul Islam, 60 from Boro Akira area in Adamdighi upazila; Mezbah, 32 from Majhipara village in Dupchanchia, and the autorickshaw driver Moyen Sardar, 55 from Depuil village.
"Among the deceased, one was the autorickshaw driver, and three were workers at a local tile factory. They were returning home after work. The bodies of the victims have been sent to the morgue at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital," said Faridul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dupchanchia Police Station.
