41 burnt in Cumilla gas cylinder blast
At least 41 people have sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion at Nangalkot in Cumilla.
Thirty-eight of the injured were admitted to different hospitals with severe burn injuries.
Cumilla Civil Surgeon Mir Mobarak Hossain said 23 of the injured are receiving treatment at Cumilla Medical College Hospital.

He said condition of two injured are stated to be critical.
According to locals, a young man was trying to inflate a balloon by connecting it to a gas cylinder. People from nearby area also gathered there to watch it when suddenly the cylinder exploded.
Moukora Union Parishad Chairman Alamgir Hossain said, "A young man named Anwar from Birulia village has been making helium gas balloons for several years. He makes his own gas using gas, various medicines and lime. The cylinder was also quite old. The whole process of making his balloon was dangerous."
