4 Cuet students to receive ‘Prime Minister Gold Medal’

Four students from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (Cuet) will receive "Prime Minister Gold Medal 2018," awarded by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC).

The students are – Md Nazmul Huda Naim from Urban & Regional Planning department, Kakan Sultana from Petroleum and Mining Engineering department, Muhammad Saiful Islam of Civil Engineering department and Sanchay Barua from Electrical and Electronic Engineering department.

The UGC made the disclosure through a press release on Wednesday. Three of the four gold medalists are currently serving as teachers in Cuet.

The university's Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Alam has congratulated the gold medalists.

The UGC has been awarding the Prime Minister Gold Medal since 2006 to students who obtain the highest marks or CGPA from respective faculties in undergrad level from various universities across the country.
