3-day int’l trade fair for women entrepreneurs in city from Thursday

A three-day exhibition of products made by women entrepreneurs will be held in Dhaka from Thursday.
The exhibition, an initiative of Women Enterprise Association of Bangladesh, will take place at the city's Gulshan Shooting Club.
The fair – active till 8 March – will showcase various handicrafts, clothes for both male and female consumers, toys, and other items. The fair will remain open to visitors from 10 am to 8 pm.
On this occasion, Nasrin Awwal Mintu, president of the organisation, disclosed the information at a press conference held today at the WEB office in the capital.
Nasrin stated, "A key highlight of this year's fair is the July Corner, established to honor the women who played a pivotal role in the July mass uprising. This dedicated space will showcase their bravery and significant contributions."
"Additionally, to encourage active participation from women and children, a drawing competition will be held, featuring three hundred students from various schools across the capital," she added.
WEB is set to celebrate its silver jubilee through this fair. Over the past 25 years, the organisation has provided training, guidance, and financial support to thousands of women entrepreneurs across the country.
