2 Bangladeshi youths land a job at Google, Microsoft
Both of them are former students of Cuet

Two Bangladeshi youths have got a job in the world's two top technology companies – Google and Microsoft.
Both of them are former students of mechanical engineering at the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology's (Cuet).
Akkas Uddin Jisan – a 2007-batch student, and Tanvir H Uday – a 2009-batch student secured the jobs.
Google recently recruited Jisan as a software engineer, and Microsoft's lens factory in Finland hired Uday.
Google and Microsoft finalised their appointment via e-mail.
Uday said, "I grew up using different Microsoft products. It was my childhood dream to work for a giant company, and the scope of working at Microsoft is overwhelming."
Jisan said, "At Google, one can get the opportunity to work with people from all over the world. It is exciting to work here. But there is pressure too as all of the people who get to work here are talented."
General Secretary of Cuet Teachers' Association and Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Dr Md Sanaul Rabbi said several Cuet students had got a job at Google before.
"Probably this is the first time that two students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering have been hired by two tech giants. This is a proud moment for the university and the department."
"There was a time when getting a job at Google and Microsoft was a dream for many. But now Bangladeshis are often getting a job at Google and Microsoft. This is proving the capability of the country and the improved quality of education at our universities," Dr Sanaul added.
