2 found dead in hospital parking had come to pick up patient, say police
Police identified the deceased as Zakir and Mizan, both around 40 and from Chatkhil upazila in Noakhali

What began as a trip to collect a patient from Sirajul Islam Medical College and Hospital in the capital's Malibagh area ended in tragedy this afternoon (11 August), when two men were found dead inside their car in the hospital's parking lot.
Police identified the deceased as Zakir and Mizan, both around 40 and from Chatkhil upazila in Noakhali.
Their bodies showed signs of swelling, though the cause of death has yet to be determined.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Ramna zone) Masud Alam told reporters that Zakir was the car's driver and Mizan was his relative.
The vehicle's owner, Sourav, is also from Chatkhil, he added.
"Initial information suggests they had come to the hospital to pick up a patient," said Masud Alam.
"We are investigating all possible causes of death."
According to hospital and police sources, the vehicle entered the hospital's parking lot around 5:30am on Saturday (9 August).
Security guards at the gate were told that there was a patient inside. However, when the car did not leave the premises for two days, security personnel approached it today and discovered the bodies inside.
Police were then informed and later retrieved the bodies from the vehicle.
