2 doctors injured as patient’s relatives vandalise emergency dept at Satkhira Sadar Hospital
A police complaint has been filed over the incident

Two doctors were injured and the emergency department of Satkhira Sadar Hospital was vandalised reportedly by angry relatives of a patient after they failed to find a doctor in the ward.
Dr ABM Akhtar Maruf, an emergency department doctor, and Dr Tanvir Hussain, a visiting doctor from the DG's office, sustained injuries in the attack.
Sources at the emergency department said Shahin, a patient from Labsa Union, was treated at the emergency department and admitted to a ward after arriving at 9:30am.
Later, the patient's relatives reportedly launched an attack after they failed to find a doctor at the ward.
Civil Surgeon Dr Md Salam claimed that the patient had received treatment, then the relatives sought the ward doctor. "Suddenly, they launched an attack on the doctors at the emergency department."
He said a police complaint has been filed.
Confirming the matter, Satkhira Sadar Police Station OC Shaminul Haque said legal action would follow an investigation.
