15 policemen injured in Lalmonirhat road crash

At least 15 policemen were injured when a truck hit a police vehicle at Haribhanga Mazar in Sadar upazila of Lalmonirhat district on today (7 April).
The injured were identified as Sub-inspector Rafiqul Islam, Abu Bakkar, Assistant sub-inspector Mahesh, Nayek Shakhawat, Nayek Rahinul, Constable Saiful, Manik, Sabuj, Mozammel, Nayan, Zafar, Shahadat, Ilias and Mostafa.
The accident occurred around 10 am when the truck hit the police vehicle carrying 15 policemen while they were heading towards Sindurmati Fair, leaving them injured, said officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

The injured policemen were taken to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital.
Police also arrested the truck driver Sohan in this connection.
