14 senior police officers transferred
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification in this regard today
The government has transferred and assigned new postings to 14 senior Bangladesh Police officials, including deputy inspectors general (DIGs), additional DIGs and superintendents of police (SPs).
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification in this regard today (7 January).
According to the notification, CID DIG SM Fazlur Rahman has been transferred to the Rajarbagh Police Telecom Unit as DIG, while DIG Md Sazzadur Rahman of the same unit has been posted to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) in the same rank. Additional DIG Raihan Uddin Khan has been appointed joint commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Tourist Police SP Khondker Khalid Bin Nur has been transferred to the DMP as deputy commissioner, while Noakhali PTC SP Asma Begum Rita has been posted to the APBn headquarters. SP of PTC Khulna Soma Hapong has been appointed commandant (SP) of the In-Service Training Centre in Mymensingh.
Recently promoted DIGs Mohammad Osman Gani and Sana Shaminur Rahman, both previously joint commissioners of the DMP, have been posted as additional commissioners of the DMP. Special Branch (SB) Additional DIG Mohammad Fayezul Kabir, who was also recently promoted to DIG, has been posted to the same branch in his new rank.
In other postings, River Police (Chattogram region) SP AFM Nizam Uddin and SB SP Mahfuza Liza have been transferred to Police Headquarters as SPs on TR posts. SB Additional SP Md Zayed Shahriar has been posted to Police Headquarters as superintendent of police (TR post) on a supernumerary basis.
Meanwhile, the transfer orders of SB SP Mohammad Moniruzzaman and Railway Police SP Saiful Haque, who had earlier been posted as supernumerary additional DIGs, have been cancelled, the notification said.
