Industry leaders, digital innovators, and marketing professionals have stressed the need for dissecting the rapid evolution of technology, consumer behaviour, and brand strategies in the digital age.

They also called for consumer-centric innovation at the 11th Digital Summit at a city hotel today. The event was organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum, in collaboration with Meghna Group of Industries (MGI).

With the theme "Digital Renaissance: Innovating for Tomorrow's Consumer," the summit emphasised the urgency for brands to adapt to the demands of Gen Z and Gen Alpha through hyper-personalization, AI-driven solutions, and ethical data practices.

Sajid Mahbub, Group CEO and executive Editor of Bangladesh Brand Forum, stated, "Digital transformation is no longer optional - it's the lifeline of modern business. To thrive, brands must innovate with agility and deeply understand tomorrow's consumers."

Unilever Bangladesh Chairman and Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Zaved Akhtar highlighted AI's transformative role in reshaping industries.

"AI isn't just a tool - it's the backbone of solving business challenges today," he asserted, citing Unilever's use of AI for demand forecasting, inventory management, and personalized marketing.

Leadership Consultant Mahtab Uddin Ahmed emphasised the need for brands to balance technological adoption with human-centric values to build lasting consumer trust.

Panel discussions explored hyper-personalisation in the age of AI and the dynamics of Gen Z for businesses.

Hyper-personalization involves moving beyond mass marketing to create individualized consumer relationships while safeguarding privacy.

Business leaders examined AI's potential to automate processes, enhance creativity, and predict trends while cautioning against over-reliance without ethical oversight. Panelists also discussed how brands can navigate social accountability and authenticity to better connect with younger audiences.

The summit featured over 20 distinguished speakers, including Ahsanur Rahman (bKash), Ayesha Farzana (Grey Advertising), and Sharmin Rahman (Grameenphone), who shared case studies on Bangladesh's digital growth. Startups like Markopolo.AI and AdPlay Technologies showcased homegrown innovations driving the nation's tech ecosystem.
