The shooting took place a few hours after Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam left Gazipur city after attending protests against last night's attack

One student was injured as an unidentified individual fired shots at members of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement in Gazipur city today (8 February).
The incident took place on Rajbari Road at around 6:30pm when members of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement were gathered in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office following daylong protests.

A student named Mubassher Hossain suffered a gunshot wound, Gazipur Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (Crime) Riaz Uddin confirmed to The Business Standard.
Locals said students were demonstrating in the area throughout the day today to protest the attack on students last night (7 February). In the afternoon, Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam, two leaders of the Student Movement, participated in the programmes.
