One of the key suspects involved in a public display of firearms and intimidation in Dhaka's Bhatara area has been arrested by the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
The suspect, Alinur Pavel alias Pavel, 32, was detained last night (17 April) from the Kuril Bishwa Road area following a tip-off.
According to a press release issued by the DMP Media Wing, the incident occurred in the early hours of 1 April when a group of 10–12 individuals attacked the residence of Md Rasheduzzaman Raju in the Joar Sahara Kha Para area under Bhatara Police Station.

When locals attempted to intervene, the assailants fled the scene, issuing threats of violence.
Following the incident, a case was filed at Bhatara Police Station.
During the investigation, the DB analysed CCTV footage and intelligence reports to identify the suspects.
Pavel was arrested based on this evidence, and legal action is currently underway against him.
