Voters can check polling station details in four ways: EC
The Election Commission (EC) has introduced four easy ways for voters to find their voter number and polling station details ahead of the 12 February national election, according to an official handout issued by the EC.
Method 1: Smart Election Management BD app
Voters can download the Smart Election Management BD app from the Play Store or App Store. After installation, they need to select the "Find Polling Station" option, enter their National ID (NID) number and date of birth, and tap the search button. The app will then display the voter number, serial number on the voter list, polling station name and address.
Method 2: Hotline 105
Voters can call the hotline number 105 and press 9 to speak to an operator. They will need to provide their NID number and date of birth to get the required information. The hotline service will be available daily from 6am to 12am.
Method 3: SMS service
Voters can also obtain the information via SMS by typing PC [space] NID and sending it to 105. The voter number and polling station details will be sent back through a return message.
Method 4: EC website
Polling station information can also be accessed through the Election Commission's official website at ecs.gov.bd, the handout said.
