Faridpur BNP winners pledge unity and progress, outline priorities
BNP candidates of Faridpur-2, 3 and 4 have vowed to serve their constituencies responsibly
The newly elected BNP candidates of Faridpur-2, 3 and 4 have vowed to serve their constituencies responsibly while promoting unity and inclusive development.
Speaking to journalists at her Faridpur residence this afternoon (13 February), Faridpur-2 MP-elect and the party's Organising Secretary Shama Obaid Islam Rinku said she wants to properly fulfil the responsibility entrusted to her by the people.
"I want to carry out this responsibility with sincerity and seek everyone's cooperation. I hope people of all affiliations will work together for the development of the area and remain united. I want to implement the commitments I made for this region during my tenure," she added. In Faridpur-3, MP-elect Nayab Yusuf Ahmed said she wants to work for the development of Faridpur and empower women. "I want to build Faridpur with people of all parties, faiths and backgrounds. There will be no discrimination," she told journalists at his residence in Faridpur town.
Meanwhile, Krishak Dal General Secretary Md Shahidul Islam Babul, the BNP's winning candidate for Faridpur-4, said he wants to work with everyone regardless of party lines.
"I want to work with all and build a new Faridpur-4 where there will be no divisions," he said.
Babul also visited the residence of his rival candidate from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and sought overall cooperation from Jamaat candidate Sarwar Hossain.
