In Dhaka-6, BNP candidate Ishraque Hossain, contesting with the sheaf of paddy symbol, is leading in the unofficial count from 22 of 101 polling centres with 17,020 votes. His closest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Abdul Mannan of the scales symbol, has secured 10,935 votes, leaving him 6,085 votes behind.
The constituency has a total of 2,92,283 registered voters. A total of 28,951 votes were cast in the counted centres, with a turnout rate of 9.91%, showing Ishraque maintaining the lead in the early count.
