Brahmanbaria-6: Zonayed Saki beats Jamaat rival by 56,000 votes
The Ganosamhati Andolon leader bagged 96,342 votes, while Md Mohsin secured 39,967 votes
Zonayed Saki, chief coordinator of the Ganosamhati Andolon and a candidate backed by the BNP-led alliance, has secured victory from the Brahmanbaria-6 (Bancharampur) constituency by a margin of more than 56,375 votes.
Saki secured 96,342 votes with his party symbol "Mathal", according to the results announced by Returning Officer Sharmin Akter Jahan at around 12:30am Friday (13 February).
His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami leader and 11-party alliance candidate Md Mohsin, received 39,967 votes with the party's "Scales" symbol.
