BNP wins 14 seats in Chattogram; Jamaat secures 2

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has secured a landslide win in Chattogram by winning 14 out of 16 parliamentary constituencies in the 13th national election, while Jamaat-e-Islami only managed to retain its two traditional strongholds in the district, according to official results.
Despite a competitive campaign, the results broadly reflected the previous political landscape. Ten constituencies will send new members to parliament.
However, The Election Commission (EC) withheld official results in two constituencies due to ongoing court cases, although BNP candidates are leading in both.
In Chattogram-1 (Mirsharai), BNP's Nurul Amin won with 1,28,799 votes, beating Jamaat's Shaifur Rahman, who secured 84,538 votes.
In Chattogram-2 (Fatikchhari), BNP's Sarwar Alomgir leads with 1,38,545 votes, beating Jamaat's Md Nurul Amin, who received 62,160 votes, though the official result remains pending due to a court appeal.
In Chattogram-3 (Sandwip), BNP's Mostafa Kamal Pasha won with 73,037 votes, defeating Jamaat's Alauddin Sikdar, who received 39,662 votes.
In Chattogram-0 (Sitakunda and parts of the city), BNP's Mohammad Aslam Chowdhury leads unofficially with 1,42,674 votes, ahead of Jamaat's Md Anwar Siddique, who polled 89,268 votes, though the official result is pending due to a court appeal.
In Chattogram-5 (Hathazari-Bayezid), BNP's Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin won with 1,47,054 votes, beating Khelafat Majlish's Md Nasir Uddin Munir, who received 46,589 votes.
In Chattogram-6 (Raozan), BNP's Giasuddin Quader Chowdhury won with 1,12,237 votes, defeating Islamic Front's Mohammad Ilyas Nuri, who received 27,146 votes.
In Chattogram-7 (Rangunia), BNP's Hummam Quader Chowdhury won with 1,01,445 votes, beating Jamaat's ATM Rezaul Karim, who secured 41,719 votes.
In Chattogram-8 (Chandgaon-Boalkhali), BNP's Ershad Ullah won with 152,969 votes, defeating Jamaat's Abu Naser, who secured 52,564 votes.
In Chattogram-9 (Baklia-Kotwali-Chakbazar), BNP's Mohammad Abu Sufian won with 1,01,388 votes, defeating Jamaat's AKM Fazlul Haque, who received 53,807 votes.
In Chattogram-10 (Halishahar-Pahartali-Khulshi), BNP's Saeed Al Noman won with 1,22,978 votes, beating Jamaat's Shamsuzzaman Helali, who received 76,919.
In Chattogram-11 (Bandar-Patenga), BNP's Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury won with 1,15,999 votes, defeating Jamaat's Mohammad Shafiul Alam, who received 73,681 votes.
In Chattogram-12(Patiya), BNP's Enamul Haque Enam won with 1,35,044 votes, defeating Islamic Front's Saiyed Air Mohammad Pairu, who received 28,999 votes and Jamaat's Mohammad Faridul Alam, who got 21,706 votes.
In Chattogram-13 (Anwara-Karnaphuli), BNP's Sarwar Jamal Nizam won with 1,26,192 votes, defeating Islamic Front's SM Shahjahan, who received 51,450 votes and Jamaat's Mahmudul Hasan, who got 35,030 votes.
In Chattogram-14 (Chandanaish, parts of Satkania), BNP's Jasim Uddin Ahmad won with 76,493 votes, narrowly defeating 11-party LDP candidate Prof Omar Faruk, who received 75,467 votes.
In Chattogram-15 (Lohagara-Satkania), Jamaat's Shahjahan Chowdhury secured 1,81,238 votes, defeating BNP's Nazmul Mostofa Amin, who received 1,30,661 votes.
In Chattogram-16 (Banshkhali), Jamaat's Maulana Zahirul Islam won with 93,167 votes, defeating BNP's Mishkatul Islam Chowdhury Pappa, who received 83,105 votes.
