Private bank officials won't be assigned election duties: Sanaullah

Election Commissioner Brig Gen (Retd) Abu Fazal Md Sanaullah today (7 December) said officials of private banks will not be assigned to election duties.
He announced the decision following a commission meeting today.
Earlier, on 23 November, the BNP submitted a written request to the Election Commission, urging that staff members of Islami Bank or similar institutions not be appointed as polling officials.
The proposal was handed over during a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin.
