CAP Foundation opens ‘The Guardians’ village in Sylhet
The Guardians, established by CAP Foundation, was inaugurated in Sylhet on Thursday at 12 noon by members of the Portuguese royal family, the House of Braganza.
The institution has been built on one and a half acres of land in Chalia village of Sylhet Sadar upazila.
It will provide education and full financial support for one hundred orphaned children, from grade three up to graduation, under the funding of CAP Foundation.
Along with the representatives of the former Portuguese royal family, officials of CAP Foundation were also present during the visit.
After the visit, the royal representatives said that their trip to Bangladesh was aimed at extending humanitarian support and goodwill.
They said that the institution stands as a symbol of international recognition and solidarity for the foundation's work towards the welfare of orphans and underprivileged children.
