AL leader Ahsan Habib arrested in anti-terrorism case
He was sent to jail though a court order.
Police have arrested Barrister Ahsan Habib Bhuiyan, an assistant secretary of the Awami League's central sub-committee, in connection with a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
He was detained from a house on Road-118 in Dhaka's Gulshan area in the early hours today (4 October).
Confirming the development, Abu Bakkar, inspector (investigation) of Gulshan Police Station, told The Business Standard that Ahsan Habib was produced before a court later in the day.
Following a hearing, the court ordered that he be sent to jail, the OC added.
