Springfield partners with Alibaba.com to boost Bangladesh exports
Springfield Corporation has been appointed as the authorised channel partner of Alibaba.com in Bangladesh, opening new opportunities for local businesses to expand their reach in global markets.
As the official channel partner, Springfield Corporation will provide localised support and guidance to Bangladeshi exporters looking to establish and grow their presence on Alibaba.com's international marketplace.
The partnership will initially focus on the textile and apparel industry before gradually expanding into other sectors, including jute, leather, handicrafts and light engineering.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Alibaba.com Senior Specialist, Channel Operation – Global Business Development Department, GP&GSP, Vania; Alibaba.com Channel Manager, Bangladesh, Sonobar Maira; Springfield Corporation Managing Director Md Faizul Alam; Executive Director Shaan Shahed; and Head of Business (Dhaka) Umma Rokeya Nisha.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen Bangladesh's position as a competitive sourcing destination and promote digital export growth by helping local businesses connect with international buyers.
