BRAC Bank inaugurates new sub-branch in Bashundhara
BRAC Bank has opened a new sub-branch in the Bashundhara Residential Area in Dhaka.
Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, managing director and CEO of BRAC Bank, formally inaugurated the sub-branch at JCX Tower in Block I, Bashundhara, on 9 November, 2025.
Deputy Managing Director and Head of Branch Distribution Network Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque; Senior Zonal Head (North) AKM Tareq; Senior Zonal Head (South) Taher Hasan Al Mamun; and Regional Head and Head of Sub-branches Borhan Uddin were present, along with senior officials of the bank's distribution network.
Bashundhara is one of Dhaka's growing residential areas, home to several educational institutions, hospitals, corporate offices, and urban establishments.
BRAC Bank launched its sub-branch network as part of its multi-channel distribution strategy to bring modern banking services closer to customers across the country.
The new sub-branch will offer a range of services, including account opening, cash deposits and withdrawals, deposit pension schemes, fund transfers via EFTN and RTGS, remittance services, utility bill payments, credit card services, student file management, consumer loans, debit cards, chequebook processing, Astha app enrolment, school banking, savings instruments, and other retail banking facilities, excluding foreign exchange services.
BRAC Bank's network now includes 302 branches and sub-branches, 330 ATMs, 446 SME unit offices, and 1,119 agent banking outlets, making it one of the largest banking networks in Bangladesh.
